Mature Students

Welcome to Ryerson University! The information below is for all incoming mature students. We are here to make your experiences at Ryerson great. Below, we have a list of pathways and involvement opportunities that are available to you during your time at Ryerson.

Definition of a Mature Student:

  • You are 21 years of age or older in the year which you will begin studies;
  • You have been away from formal education for at least two years

We welcome all students that fit the description above and encourage you to join us at #RoadtoRyerson 2017, Ryerson’s Central Orientation Week! There are a number of organizations who work to promote and achieve success of mature students, including:

  • Student Life Programs – Central Orientation
  • Tri Mentoring Program
  • Mature Students Association
  • Continuing Education Students’ Association of Ryerson

Along with these organizations, we have Orientation events for all mature students!

The annual Mature Students Garden Party is back and better than ever! This year we will have fancy natural décor with refreshments and mouth watering snacks. Dress for a nice indoor party with tons of light from the sun room in our very own Thomas Lounge! This event will give you the opportunity to enjoy workshops with your fellow peers, network, and learn about the resources on campus that can make your university experience successful and enjoyable.

Stay tuned for more information about events when we release the full schedule in July 2017.
